Photography Class Number Three: Indiana State Fair Social Shoot & Competition

Yesterday was the annual state fair photo competition that Indy Photo Coach hosts. This year the categories were "Critters," "Photographers Choice," "Camera, Lights, Action!," & Shapes. The First four pictures are the ones I submitted to the competition. The rest were some others I thought were neat. Wish me luck!
Critters. (This one's dedicated to my little sis!)

Shapes. Who can guess what this is?

Photographers Choice. I love slushies! Especially on a hot day at the fair!

Lights, Camera, Action! Get ready to freak out!

Photography Class Number Two: Model Photo Shoot

I'll be honest... I was nervous and skeptical about shooting a model or just people in general. I've never been a fan. I thought it would be awkward and weird. However, it totally wasn't. Our model was very nice and easy to shoot. Thank you so much Heather for helping me learn to take pictures of actual people!

Not a part of the assignment but I couldn't help myself. The clouds were awesome that day!

Photography Class 7.3.11

Yesterday was my first photography class, Beyond the Fundamentals. The class I took last month was for beginners and was more geared toward learning what your camera can do. The class I'm taking this month allows for a little more creativity. Our first location was at the Indy Railway Service Corporation i.e. an old train yard. It was really cool and I like how the photos turned out. Here is a sampling.

I particularly like this one because well...I love shoes!
